If fig...@Steve: I forgot that was event still up.

If figured my marathon pace was somewhere between 7:15 and 7:20, easy pace was anything north of about 8 minutes.

For the most part, I didn't do any of the planned speed work I set for myself this year. That will hopefully change next season - I'll be more ambitious on mileage, less ambitious on speed, and work to make my running week more routine from week to week.Matt Lutzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11349371525627476283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1908303394612801260.post-92007286287059001862011-09-20T10:12:32.952-05:002011-09-20T10:12:32.952-05:00Looking at yout 2011 Training Plan spreadsheet, wh...Looking at yout 2011 Training Plan spreadsheet, what did you consider "easy pace" and "Marathon pace?"SteveQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943650844671498074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1908303394612801260.post-92227270108254875692011-09-20T08:35:31.369-05:002011-09-20T08:35:31.369-05:00Wow, awesome run Matt, this is inspiring to me, th...Wow, awesome run Matt, this is inspiring to me, thanks for sharing this.Eugene Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14187831875021772459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1908303394612801260.post-71413294781477739052011-09-19T18:46:20.352-05:002011-09-19T18:46:20.352-05:00@ Steve: I put together two pace charts - one for ...@ Steve: I put together two pace charts - one for 24-hours and 30-hours - with the premise of spending 45 percent of my time on the first half and 55 percent of my time on the second half (see: Adam Schwartz-Lowe's performance this year) with the full expectation of finishing around 30 hours. There is a reason only a handful of folks have gone sub-24 on this course, and I am not one of them yet. The night was the humbling part - I had planned on power walking the whole night, but I grossly underestimated how hard the darkness would be.

@Dave: I was feeling pretty good at that point, still moving pushing hard.
